In a further deterioration of bilateral relations, India summoned Canadian High Commissioner Cameron MacKay to inform him of its decision to expel a senior Canadian diplomat from the country. The Indian government has not disclosed the name of the expelled Canadian diplomat, but sources suggest it is Olivier Sylvestere, the Canadian intelligence agency's station chief in India.
